Graduate Education

The ISWC trains graduate students for the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) and Northwest A&F University. Since 1981, there have been more than 2000 graduate students successfully completing their studies at ISWC. The institute executes various competitive scholarships and awards, such as Director Scholarship, State Key Laboratory Director Scholarship, Distinguished Postgraduate Scholarship, ISWC Scholarship and “Three Aid” post research assistant allowance mechanism.

The ISWC has two doctorate degree authorization points in soil science and ecology, three master degree authorization points in soil science, ecology, and water and soil conservation and desertification control, one professional master degree authorizationin resources and environment)and one post-doctorate research station for comprehensive utilization of agricultural resources and ecology at the University of Chinese Academy of Science. 

The ISWC awards doctoral and master degrees in water and soil conservation and desertification control, a doctoral degree in cross discipline of land science and engineering a professional master degree in resources and environment at Northwest A&F University. Meanwhile, supervisors in the institute are widely enrolled in disciplines of soil science, plant nutrition, environmental science and engineering, ecology, agricultural water and soil engineering, botany and pratacultural science at Northwest A&F University.
