Participants of ISSWCDF visited Changwu Experiment Station

June 15th, 2009, participants of the International Seminar on Soil & Water Conservation and Dryland Farming visited the Changwu Loess Plateau Agro-ecological Experiment Station. Accompanied by Dr. Zhu Yuanjun, the seminar participants visited the Station’s field monitoring facilities, long-term dry farmland testing ground, and the atmospheric boundary layer observing system among others. Afterwards, the seminar participants went to the households of Wangdong Village to learn about such matters as measures for the promotion of dryland agriculture, development of local fruit industry and farmers’ income increase. The ISSWCDF seminar was organized by the multilateral foreign aid training programs of the Ministry of Commerce, P.R.C. and hosted by the Yangling Agricultural High-tech Industries Demonstration Zone.
