From June30th to July 1st, 18 people from the Sino-British Loess Plateau Ecological Recovery and Agricultural Innovation Mission headed by Dr. Wu Bin, Nottingham University visited ISWC’s Ansai Experiment Station. The ISWC deputy director and the Ansai Station director Liu Guobin accompanied the visit and introduced the guests the basic information about the Station and its researches. The guests displayed great interest in the research accomplishments made by the Zhifanggou Demonstration Watershed of the Ansai Station, and held discussions with the Station researchers about related issues.
After the trip, the guests paid a visit to ISWC. A seminar was held at the guests’ request. At the seminar, research fellow Mr. Wang Jijun, research associate Mr. Xu Mingxiang and Dr. Zhou Ping delivered their respective lectures on countryside economy, soil quality evaluation, service function of watershed ecology and soil micro-organisms. Exchanges and discussion were conducted, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.
The visit of Sino-British Loess Plateau ecological Recovery and Agricultural Innovation Mission was invited by the China Agricultural Unviersity, Chunhua County and Ansai County in Shaanxi, and Yanchi County in Ningxia having been chosen for close investigations.
