Dr. SU Ninghu Visited ISWC

From April 7th to 10th, under the invitation, Dr Su Ninghu from James Cook University of Australia visited ISWC.

During his stay here, Dr SU visited the Rainfall Simulation Hall, the Climate Simulation Laboratory for Dry-land Agriculture and other related labs. Dr Su Ninghu also gave an academic report titled as “ Progress on the Migration of Soil Moisture Content and Soluble Substance ---- Application and Modeling of the Theory of Fractional Calculus” for researchers and postgraduates of ISWC.  Dr Su discussed the ideas and plans for cooperation with Mr Liu Guobin, director of ISWC, Mr. Chen Gaixue , vice director of ISWC, Mr. Deng Xiping and Li Shiqing , vice directors of the China National Laboratory of Soil Erosion and Dryland Agriculture on the Loess Plateau, and other people concerned. Mr. Wang Wanzhong, executive Deputy Secretary of Northwest A&F University, Mr. Qian Yonghua , Vice president of Northwest A&F University also attended the discussion. 

Dr. Su Ninghu now is teaching at James Cook University of Australia. He has ever worked for the Mathematical Sciences College of Queensland University of Technology, Land Institute of the Royal Academy of New Zealand, Australian National University, ISWC of Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) and Ministry of Water Resources (MWR). He has made great achievements in the study of hydrology, the migration of soil moisture contents and soluble substance, and published more then 80 papers on internationally recognized academic journals.
