From March 20th to 21st, under the invitation of ISWC, famous plant nutritionist from German Hohenhein Univeristy, Prof. Volker Röemheld visited ISWC. Under the companionship of researcher Deng Xiping , vice director of the State Key Laboratory of Soil Erosion and Dryland Farming on Loess Plateau, Prof. Volker Röemheld toured different labs , the Rainfall Simulation Hall and the Climate Simulation Laboratory for Dry-land Agriculture. He also listened to the report on the research progress of ISWC in the fields of plant nutrition, soil science and soil and water conservation.

 During his visit, Prof.Volker Röemheld gave a academic report entitled as “Good Research as Prerequisite for a Good Publication”. The report is mainly about how to design PhD thesis, how to write and publish SCI papers. The report is rich in content and wonderful in language and aroused the interest of the audience. His report would have great significance for improving the research competence and the writing skills of junior researchers and postgraduates of ISWC.
