At the invitation of the Forest and Grass Ecosystem Office of ISWC, Prof. Rosario Fanlo from Universitat de Lleida , Span , visited ISWC and conducted academic exchange on June 6th .
The academic exchange was presided by researcher Cheng Jimin, director of the Forest and Grass Ecosystem Office. Professor Rosario Fanlo gave two reports entitled as “What do we understand for grasslands” and “Forage quality of Nardus Stricta pasture from two Pyrenean valleys in Andorra”. Both sides had thorough discussion over the introduction clover varieties, grassland construction and pasturage quality management. Professor Rosario Fanlo showed great interest in the restoration of nature pasturage on Loess plateau, and later made a on-spot investigation at the National Nature Reserve in Yunmengshan, Nixia Autonomous Region .
It is reported that professor Rosario Fanlo is working at the department of plant production and forestry department of Universitat de Lleida , Span, mainly engaging in the research of the impact between forestation and natural pasturage quality and its diversity.
